USD/CAD: Off Highs as Nymex Crude Hits New Nine-month High
San Francisco, Jun 18.
USD/CAD has dropped back to 1.0720 as Crude shrugs off early weakness with Nymex futures trade to new nine-ninth highs. Despite the pullback, the growing market consensus is for a further push higher in USD/CAD with a move to 1.0850 and even 1.1000 now expounded by some analysts. A fresh wave of rumors has blamed CAD weakness earlier today on GBP/CAD buying for the * Financial-Reuters deal but that cross is now off its highs around 2.1300 at 2.1232.

USD/CAD: Core CPI 2.2% Y/Y; Less Than Expected 2.3%
New York, June 19.
Core CPI Y/Y has come slightly lower than the expected 2.3%. Nevertheless, USD/CAD trades moderately lower by 1.0695 with the market still pricing in the likelihood of tighter BOC policy. Additionally, traders continue to look for opportunities to sell USD/CAD on the back of the latest corrective action, anticipating a resumption of the underlying downtrend, aided by a continued rise in oil prices.
CAD Core CPI不及预期。然而USD/CAD却在低位1.0685交易，市场仍旧定价于BOC的进一步紧缩政策。
交易员继续寻找就如刚刚回调时卖出USD/CAD的机会，期待着重续跌势，原油的继续飙升也提供了支持。

1.0670 LONG USD/CAD 3055x2 UNITS。Buy Market Filled。
Trading Range： 1.0620 -- 1.0720。
短期汇价下行。原因如楼上所述。
1.0650之下有止损盘。
1.0605 -- 1.0590有支撑。
目前，最近的阻力位在1.0730。

U/C若要上扬，非得C/J下跌，也就是套息至少暂缓。或者CAD基本面不支持。
近期看，CAD基本面仍旧很好，若不下破1.0650，汇价仍旧区间整理。可能一直持续到7月10日。
CAD的升值和加息的恶果，要到1-2年后，才能体现。。。
这也就是为什么格老加息时美元和房屋市场还好，贝南克上了台之后，次级房贷危机，房屋市场下降，房屋转为卖方市场，美元下跌的原因。 就算美联储减息，效果也不会马上出来。。。

然后就是 尽看市场摇摆，我自岿然不动。。。
据报：今NewYork早盘应有 USD/CAD 1.0720的option cut。
会导致汇价暂回1.0720附近。看来小时图的上影线，已经兑现了？但是那是发生在7：00，CAD core CPI发布时。
但愿还没有。。。:P
