Memorial Day Kicks Off Peak Selling Season for Brewers

NEW YORK (AP) -- Brewers are hoping to guzzle down profits when Memorial Day weekend kicks off the sector's peak selling season.
Brewers typically see their business pick up significantly in the second and third quarters, with Memorial Day and Labor Day bracketing the main selling period.

"There's a noticeable drop-off in the fourth quarter," says Morningstar analyst Matthew Reilly. "Around the holidays when it gets cold, people drink less beer and turn to wine and spirits instead."

EST reported sales for the first quarter 2007, of $674,557 compared to $487,833 for the same quarter in 2006. Gross revenues for the first quarter of 2007 increased to $693,129, compared with gross revenues of $499,263 in the first quarter of 2006. The Company recorded Net Income for the first quarter of 2007 of $66,569, or $0.01 per share, compared with a Net Loss of $30,000 or $0.01 per share for the first quarter of 2006.
